Be Illuminated

Updated: Sep 6, 2020

Arise, and shine;

For your light has come!

And  b the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,

And deep darkness the people;

But the LORD will arise over you,

And His glory will be seen upon you.

 The Gentiles shall come to your light,

And kings to the brightness of your rising

Isaiah 60

We are living in a time of where there appears to be darkness all around! Fear is on the rampart and is making a claim to all who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! From viruses and plagues, to riots and to divisions, we are at a place of where we have to focus on the power of Christ Jesus! As we look at Isaiah 60, this scripture never said that everything in this earth and world is peaches and cream. No, it actually warns us that darkness will cover the earth, but we, as Believers, were never meant to check out, hide, fear and loose hope! In fact, we are instructed that we must “arise and shine.” God has given us the responsibility and mandate to be the light that the world needs to be drawn to Christ! Even though things in this world may look dark and gloomy, God did not give His children (Believers) the permission to give in and give up! We cannot blend in with the darkness; we have to be the light! To have light and be illuminated is defined as having sight and making things visible. We must keep our sight on Jesus and the finish work of the cross! It is vital to make Jesus visible to the world! God has promised that He, Himself will arise over us with His glory to be the light that rise for Him and through Him to this world! What do this God-given light looks like? This God-given light is when you are witnessing to those around you the love of Christ, when you are partnering with God to bring forth witty ideas and inventions to contribute to revival, to continue to walk in love and forgiveness and boldly declare the gospel! God has made you an “Agent for Change,” and He promised to give you the light (platform) to do it! Declare victory today my precious one, declare your rising, stand up and be strong in the admonition of the Lord! Let there be Light! (See Genesis 1:3) Jesus defined our position in Him and our identity is this world in Matthew 5:14, You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” The world is watching! Shine Bright!

'God has made you an “Agent for Change,” and He promised to give you the light (platform) to do it!"
