Too Good To Be True

I knew that it was too good to be true.”I know that most of us have heard this saying and to be truthful, some of us have probably said this.But did you know that God has such goodness and such perfection that we should continually expect good from our Heavenly Father because of Jesus Christ!

Circumstances and challenges that we go through in life would try to challenge our belief of the goodness of God. The Enemy will try to use disappointments, hurts, betrayals, offenses and our failures to make us doubt the goodness of God and the power of His love and forgiveness. In fact, if we don’t watch it, the enemy would have us fearing the future and because of past failures, our expectation can build upon these experiences to produce and birth within us an evil, defeated expectation for our lives. My dear precious one, God never meant this to be! Jesus Christ endured tremendous torture, torment, agony, humiliation and shame to the point of death on the cross so that we can receive good from our Heavenly Father! (Read Isaiah 53:4-5 and 1 Peter 2:24) The power of the finish work of the Cross has given us victory and positioned us to expect and receive good from the Father. Jesus’ good produces an awesome eternal work in us that will also allow us to do good toward others. Let’s define what Jesus’ good is! The good that came from the finish work of Jesus is unconditional love, forgiveness, peace, healing and wholeness, provision, break through, joy, kindness, victory over the enemy, hope and faith, answered prayer and access to our Heavenly Father 24/7, around the clock (see Hebrews 4:16). Now that is good and good news!

Don’t allow the world in its present state and condition to define and shape your expectation. Turn away from the lies of your past experiences, disappointments and circumstances to look to Jesus! Expect His goodness because what He offers is the truth of His Word that can change any situation and circumstance around. This is not a scam and this is not too good to be true! God is good! Accept, expect and receive the truth of His goodness in your life today! It’s too good, but it’s true!
